KonProz, a pioneering startup specializing in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), has secured $700,000 in a fresh funding round. The investment, led by Dr. Ruchi Parekh, RDB Group, and a consortium of angel investors, will propel KonProz’s mission to develop intelligent GenAI solutions for the legal domain.

Fueling Growth and Expanding Capabilities

The funding infusion will empower KonProz to build a robust GenAI knowledge base specific to the intricacies of Indian legal, tax, and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, the company plans to expand its team and scale operations, ultimately broadening the capabilities of its groundbreaking platform.

KonProz GPT: A Pioneering Tool for Legal Professionals

Founded by Piyush Chopra and Shiladitya Dash, KonProz leverages cutting-edge GenAI technology to craft software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions specifically tailored for the legal, tax, and regulatory sectors. Since its inception, KonProz has garnered significant recognition for its flagship product, KonProz GPT. Notably, KonProz GPT stands as the first GenAI tool meticulously trained on the vast corpus of Indian tax, legal, and regulatory statutes.

Early Traction and Ambitious Vision

KonProz launched the first iteration of KonProz GPT in November 2023. Since then, the platform has amassed over 2,000 active users, including prominent legal professionals from leading Big Four accounting firms and Tier 1 law firms. Buoyed by this early success, KonProz aspires to develop a comprehensive suite of AI-powered products that will fundamentally transform the legal landscape.

Generative AI: A Flourishing Investment Sector

The past six months have witnessed a surge in investor confidence towards generative AI platforms, particularly in their early development stages. In December 2023 alone, Sarvam AI secured a staggering $41 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed. Similarly, Ema garnered $25 million, marking the second-largest funding deal in this burgeoning space. Other noteworthy funding rounds include Neysa’s $20 million Series A investment and Vodex’s $2 million seed round. This influx of capital underscores the immense potential of GenAI to revolutionize various industries, with KonProz poised to be at the forefront of this exciting transformation within the legal sector.
