Vibhu Agarwal, the mastermind behind the controversial adult-oriented streaming service Ullu, is venturing into a new territory – mythology. His upcoming platform, aptly named Hari Om, is set to debut in June 2024 and promises a stark contrast to its predecessor.

A Celebration of Indian Heritage

Unlike Ullu, Hari Om caters to audiences of all ages with its exclusive library of ‘U’ rated content. The platform aims to be a one-stop destination for delving into the rich tapestry of Indian heritage, culture, and spirituality. This focus aligns with the growing global interest in these themes, particularly among younger generations.

A Diverse Content Library for All Ages

Hari Om boasts a launch lineup exceeding 20 mythological shows, encompassing both long-running epics and bite-sized series. The content caters to a wide demographic, from senior citizens to young adults and children. Viewers can expect a captivating blend of video and audio bhajans alongside engaging animated features specifically designed for younger audiences.

Bringing Epics to Life

The platform promises high-budget productions with meticulously crafted sets that transport viewers back to a bygone era, offering a truly immersive experience into the heart of ancient Indian mythology. Titles like “Shri Tirupati Balaji,” “Mata Saraswati,” “Chaya Grah Rahu Ketu,” and “Kaikeyi Ke Ram” are just a few examples of the captivating narratives set to unfold on Hari Om. Renowned actors like Sharad Malhotra, Rati Pandey, and Yuktii Kapoor bring these timeless stories to life.

Connecting with One’s Roots

Vibhu Agarwal emphasizes the importance of understanding and appreciating Indian heritage. “It’s crucial for us to connect with our roots, traditions, and culture,” he states. “Hari Om aims to bridge this gap by providing a unique platform that caters to families worldwide. We believe it will be a source of enlightenment for viewers across the globe.”

Agarwal’s Expanding Digital Landscape

Hari Om marks Agarwal’s third foray into the streaming world. Ullu, his initial venture, remains focused on adult content and is currently preparing for an IPO, despite facing past scrutiny from regulatory bodies. Atrangii TV, launched in 2022, transitioned entirely to OTT operations in 2023.

Untold Stories for a Global Audience

Nivedita Basu, Senior Vice President at Atrangii, elaborates on Hari Om’s vision: “Our goal is to showcase the vastness of Indian mythology by presenting previously untold stories. These shows will feature exceptional casts, captivating narratives, and content that is both informative and entertaining.”
