Reliance Jio’s streaming platform, JioCinema, has launched a new subscription offering, JioCinema Premium, to compete with established players like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and domestic rivals in the Indian OTT (Over-the-top) market.

JioCinema has significantly lowered the cost of accessing premium content, including Hollywood movies and television shows. The new plans start at a budget-friendly ₹29 per month, a substantial reduction from the previous pricing of ₹99 per month or ₹999 annually. Additionally, the yearly subscription option has been discontinued.

Enhanced User Experience with Ad-Free Viewing and Offline Access

JioCinema Premium offers a more immersive viewing experience by eliminating advertisements and providing the option to download content for offline viewing. This caters to users who prefer uninterrupted entertainment and the flexibility to watch content on the go.

Diverse Content Library and Multi-Device Accessibility

Subscribers gain access to an extensive library of exclusive series, movies, Hollywood content, kids’ entertainment, and TV shows. This comprehensive selection caters to various viewer preferences. Furthermore, the content is accessible across various devices, including smart TVs, ensuring a seamless viewing experience.

Family Plan Offers Simultaneous Streaming

JioCinema caters to multi-user households with the introduction of a ₹89 per month “Family” plan. This plan allows simultaneous streaming on up to four devices, making it ideal for families who want to enjoy entertainment together. Existing JioCinema premium members are automatically upgraded to the Family plan at no additional cost.

Free Sports Content Continues

Sports enthusiasts can rejoice as JioCinema remains committed to offering free sports content, including the popular Indian Premier League (IPL), as part of its ad-supported tier.
