The upcoming Marvel movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, has fans speculating about its potential impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While details are shrouded in secrecy, one theory suggests the film could introduce the main antagonist for Doctor Strange 3.

Multiverse Mayhem

The multiverse has become a central theme in recent MCU projects, with characters like Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Loki, and Doctor Strange all playing a role in its disruption. Now, the arrival of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) could further complicate matters. Their actions, known for being unpredictable and chaotic, may cause unforeseen consequences for the multiverse’s stability.

The Tribunal Emerges

Screen Rant posits that Deadpool & Wolverine’s antics could trigger the emergence of the Living Tribunal, an entity tasked with safeguarding the multiverse in the comics. This theory gains weight considering the post-credit scene in Doctor Strange 2, which introduced Clea (Charlize Theron), a character with ties to the Living Tribunal. Additionally, the Loki series previously hinted at the Tribunal’s existence within the MCU’s “The Void” realm.

Earth on the Brink

According to comic lore, the Living Tribunal may perceive Earth-616 (the MCU’s primary reality) as a threat due to its involvement in multiversal disruptions. As seen in Doctor Strange 2, the Sorcerer Supreme’s actions have already caused ripples. Deadpool & Wolverine’s potential meddling could further destabilize reality, leading to a confrontation with the Living Tribunal.

Doctor Strange’s Crucial Role

If this theory holds true, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) could find himself in a critical position in Doctor Strange 3. Alongside Clea, he might be tasked with mitigating the damage caused by the multiverse’s tampering and convincing the Living Tribunal to spare Earth.

Unveiling the Truth

While these are just speculations, the release of Deadpool & Wolverine on July 26th will hopefully provide a clearer picture of how the MCU plans to address the multiverse and the potential role of the Living Tribunal.
