BRISKPE, a cross-border payments platform, has secured $5 million in its seed funding round from PayU, the payments and fintech arm of Prosus. This strategic investment will empower BRISKPE to accelerate its mission of simplifying global payments for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Empowering MSMEs Through Streamlined Solutions

Led by Sanjay Tripathy, BRISKPE caters specifically to the needs of MSMEs. The platform’s solutions are designed to help these businesses reduce costs associated with international transactions, streamline global operations, and ultimately enhance their global competitiveness.

Building a Robust Client Base

Headquartered in Mumbai, BRISKPE has already garnered a significant customer base, exceeding 1,000 exporters. The company remains dedicated to simplifying global payments by making them faster, more cost-effective, and easier to manage, all while ensuring robust tracking and compliance.

A Growing Landscape for Cross-Border Payments

BRISKPE joins a burgeoning landscape of innovative startups like Instarem, EximPe, Salt, Skydo, and Payglocal. These companies are all striving to disrupt the cross-border payments space by offering affordable and accessible solutions for smaller businesses.

PayU Backs Fintech Innovation

The investment by PayU, which recently received in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as a payment aggregator, underscores its commitment to supporting the growth of the fintech sector. PayU has a history of backing promising fintech startups like Indiagold, Fisdom, and Dot. This investment in BRISKPE further demonstrates their focus on fostering innovation and streamlining financial services for a broader range of businesses.
