Sridhar Vembu, co-founder and CEO of the leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) company Zoho, has announced an investment in Yali Aerospace, a promising drone startup.

Yali: Providing Easy-to-Use Drone Solutions

Founded in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu in 2022 by Dinesh Balaraj, Anugraha, and Mathuravani, Yali Aerospace specializes in developing user-friendly drone technology for diverse applications in both civilian and military sectors. Their offerings cater to a global market, focusing on solutions for medical delivery, surveillance, and logistics.

Diverse Applications for Yali Drones

Yali’s drones extend their reach beyond standard tasks, venturing into solutions for precision agriculture, infrastructure inspection, and disaster response. Their product range boasts impressive capabilities, with models offering a range of 100 kilometers with a 9-kilogram payload and 50 kilometers with a 10.5-kilogram payload.

Yali Network Bridge: Delivering Medical Supplies Efficiently

According to Yali’s website, their Yali Network Bridge technology aims to revolutionize medical delivery within India. Through this network, the company claims to deliver essential medical supplies to any location in the country within a remarkable timeframe of less than 20 minutes.

Vembu’s Expanding Investment Portfolio

This investment in Yali Aerospace comes amidst news reports from earlier this month suggesting Vembu’s potential entry into the chip-making industry. These reports indicate a planned investment of approximately $700 million, showcasing Vembu’s diverse and expanding investment portfolio.
