India’s triumphant cricket team, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, is set to return home after securing a historic victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Having clinched the title against South Africa in Barbados on Saturday, June 29th, the team will now celebrate their achievement with a grand victory parade in Mumbai on Thursday, July 4th.

Celebration Itinerary: From Delhi to Wankhede

The festivities will kick off in Delhi, where the team will land on Thursday morning and attend a special function at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office. Following this, they will depart for Mumbai in the afternoon. Upon arrival in Mumbai at 4:00 PM IST, the team will proceed to the iconic Wankhede Stadium at 5:00 PM IST.

Witness the Parade: Marine Drive to Wankhede

The highlight of the day will be a two-hour open-bus parade commencing from Wankhede Stadium at 5:00 PM IST. The parade route will encompass the scenic Marine Drive, allowing fans a chance to cheer on their heroes as they navigate the city streets.

Post-Parade Festivities: Wankhede Ceremony and Prize Distribution

After the parade concludes at 7:00 PM IST, the celebrations will shift back to Wankhede Stadium for a special ceremony. BCCI officials will officially present the coveted Rs 125 crore prize money to the victorious T20 World Cup 2024 champions, marking a fitting culmination to a momentous day.
