Ola Electric Appoints Jitesh Shah for After-Sales and Services

Ola Electric, the electric vehicle arm of Ola, has named Jitesh Shah, a former executive at BYJU’S, to lead its after-sales and services division. Shah will directly report to Bhavish Aggarwal, the co-founder and managing director of Ola Electric.

Strategic Responsibilities of Jitesh

In his new capacity, Shah will spearhead the expansion of Ola’s network of service centers and fast-charging infrastructure. He will also be responsible for implementing the company’s decision to extend warranty coverage on all new scooter sales, according to sources cited by ET. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Shah joined Ola Electric a few months ago, just before the company submitted its draft IPO papers to regulatory authorities.

Shah’s Professional Background

Prior to his appointment at Ola Electric, Shah held a prominent role at BYJU’S, where he led various business verticals alongside another senior executive. His tenure at BYJU’S followed a restructuring initiative by the edtech firm in August of the previous year, which consolidated four verticals into two. Before his stint at BYJU’s starting in July 2022, Shah spent over 14 years at the esteemed consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG). During his tenure at BCG, he ascended to the position of Managing Director and Partner, showcasing his extensive experience and leadership capabilities in the corporate realm.
