Plotline Secures $2.6 Million to Personalize App Experiences

Plotline, a software platform designed for business-to-consumer (B2C) product marketers, has secured $2.6 million in funding from Elevation Capital. Launched in 2022 by Shubham Jindal and Adarsh Tadimari, Plotline initially focused on helping product teams gather real-time user feedback on their apps. However, the founders soon recognized a wider challenge: many apps were underutilized because users weren’t aware of all their functionalities.

The Rise of Super Apps and the Need for Dynamic User Experiences

Jindal observed the growing trend of mobile apps evolving from single-purpose tools to “vertical super apps” offering a comprehensive suite of related services. This shift presented a unique dilemma: how could users effectively navigate and discover the expanding features within these apps? Jindal noted, “With apps today packing in significantly more functionality compared to just a few years ago, user discovery becomes a challenge. Our experience collaborating with clients over the past year has shown that influencing user behavior through dynamic app experiences can significantly benefit both businesses and their customers.”

Plotline: Empowering Consumer Brands to Create Personalized App Experiences

Plotline’s solution lies in its ability to transform app experiences into dynamic environments. The platform leverages vast data analysis to craft personalized experiences for individual users. This is achieved through a no-code interface, allowing B2C growth marketers to design and launch customized user experience (UX) campaigns.

Plotline offers a range of features to enhance user engagement, including in-app experimentation with inline widgets, nudges to encourage feature adoption and retention, and gamification elements to deepen user interaction. Notably, Plotline sets itself apart from existing customer engagement platforms by utilizing large language models (LLMs) for continuous experimentation and content creation, allowing brands to cut through the noise and deliver a truly unique user experience.

Early Traction and Industry Recognition

Since its launch, Plotline has garnered traction among over 50 consumer app teams, including industry leaders like Dream11, Khatabook, BharatPe, CoinDCX, Niyo, Step, and Kredivo. The platform boasts of serving over 150 million end users and empowering its clients to achieve up to 10 times faster implementation and experimentation speeds.

Investor Confidence and Global Expansion Plans

Plotline plans to strategically utilize the $2.6 million seed funding to fuel global expansion.
