Kusho, a Bengaluru-based startup, has successfully secured $600,000 in pre-seed funding, led by Antler India. This round also attracted participation from prominent investors like Blume Founders Fund, UpSparks Capital, and angel investors such as Mohit Kumar and Vatsal Singhal (co-founders of Ultrahuman) and Ashok Hariharan (CEO of IDfy).

Revolutionizing Software Testing with AI

Kusho leverages a unique combination of proprietary models and foundational Large Language Models (LLMs) to create an AI-powered software developer. This innovative AI agent boasts superior bug detection capabilities, identifying issues in code with significantly greater accuracy and speed compared to traditional methods. By harnessing the power of LLMs, Kusho’s AI agents ensure thorough code testing, both during development and with every new software release.

Founders with Diverse Expertise

Kusho was founded in 2023 by Abhishek Saikia and Sourabh Gawande, alumni of BITS Pilani. The inspiration for Kusho stemmed from Sourabh’s extensive experience in software development, where he recognized the need for autonomous testing solutions. He previously led the development of numerous systems at FalconX, a digital asset prime brokerage. Abhishek, on the other hand, brings valuable insights from his product management experience at Flipkart, where he spearheaded the building and launch of software at scale.

Empowering Developers and Enhancing Software Quality

Abhishek Saikia, Kusho’s CEO, emphasizes the critical role of Kusho’s technology: “The cost of releasing subpar code has skyrocketed – unreliable software is estimated to cost businesses a staggering $2.4 trillion in the US alone. Kusho empowers developers by freeing them from the burden of manually checking for bugs, allowing them to focus on building and delivering exceptional software. Ultimately, this translates to improved code quality, faster development cycles, and bug-free releases. By automating tedious and time-consuming tasks, Kusho becomes an invaluable asset for tech teams, significantly reducing their time-to-market and project expenses.”

Harnessing AI for Efficient Testing

Sourabh Gawande, Kusho’s CTO, further explains the company’s technological approach: “Kusho has developed machine learning models that work in tandem with a chain-of-prompts system, enabling it to identify and address potential issues. By deploying AI algorithms to automate testing and repair processes, we guarantee precision and efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle. We are enthusiastic about building AI-powered solutions and equipping developers and tech leaders with tools that streamline their work.”

Investor Confidence in Kusho’s Potential

Nitin Sharma, Partner at Antler, expresses his enthusiasm for the investment: “The recent advancements in LLMs open up exciting possibilities in the crowded developer tooling space. Kusho’s proprietary AI agent, capable of replacing numerous manual processes, offers a faster, more cost-effective, and reliable software development process. We are impressed by the team’s rapid progress – in just three months, they have garnered hundreds of users across the US, EU, and South Asia. We are thrilled to support Abhishek and Sourabh and contribute to Kusho’s remarkable journey.”
