ACKO General Insurance Announces Leadership Reshuffle

Bangalore’s ACKO General Insurance unveiled a leadership change on Thursday. Sanjeev Srinivasan, the current CEO, will transition to a strategic advisory role on the board. Animesh Das, currently the chief insurance architect, will take over the reins as the company’s top leader, pending regulatory approval.

Das boasts over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in crafting insurance products, setting prices, developing market strategies, and managing risk. Before joining ACKO, Das built his career at ICICI Lombard, where he honed his skills in product strategy. He then made a move to Coverfox, where he spearheaded the launch of their automobile insurance division.

Varun Dua, the CEO of ACKO Technologies, ACKO General Insurance’s parent company, commented on the changes. He acknowledged Srinivasan’s extensive experience and the significant role he played in establishing and propelling ACKO’s growth. Dua expressed confidence that Srinivasan will continue to provide valuable guidance as a board member, helping the company achieve its long-term goals.

These leadership adjustments, Dua emphasized, underscore ACKO’s commitment to fostering a culture that prioritizes professional development, exceptional performance, and long-term employee retention.

Gross Written Premium (GWP) for the April-January period of fiscal year 2024 witnessed a significant year-over-year (YoY) increase of 26.54%, reaching Rs 1541.55 crore compared to Rs 1218.22 crore in the preceding year.
