Body Cupid, the company behind the popular personal care brand Wow Skin Science, has announced its foray into the cosmetics market with the launch of Color Cupid. This new brand caters specifically to younger demographics, offering a curated selection of nearly 40 beauty products.

A Range of Products for Self-Expression

The Color Cupid line includes essential makeup items like kajal, eyeliners, lipsticks, foundation, BB creams, primers, and makeup removers. Manish Chowdhary, co-founder of WOW Skin Science, emphasizes the brand’s mission to empower self-expression: “We want to bridge the gap between a person’s inner self and their outward appearance, allowing them to create a look that reflects their individuality without judgment.”

Omnichannel Availability and Focused Distribution

Color Cupid will be available for purchase both online and in physical stores. The brand has partnered with over 300 beauty advisors and secured placement in more than 1,000 makeup stores. Initially, Color Cupid will focus on key regions in India, including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, and Vadodara.

Expansion Plans for a Well-Established Company

This launch marks a significant step for Body Cupid’s parent company, which already boasts a portfolio of four established brands: Wow Skin Science, Wow Life Science, Body Cupid, and Nature Derma. The company has also been actively expanding its global reach, entering the US market in 2019 and now operating in 22 countries altogether. Currently, international sales contribute roughly 10-12% to Wow Skin Science’s revenue.

Strong Financial Backing Fuels Growth

According to startup data platform TheKredible, Wow Skin Science’s parent company has secured over $95 million in funding to date. This includes a significant $48 million round led by Singapore GIC in November 2022, which provides strong financial backing for future endeavors like the launch of Color Cupid.
