Brij Hotels, a well-regarded player in the boutique hospitality sector, has secured $4 million in a Series A funding round. The round was spearheaded by the investment arm of a prominent educational and healthcare group (Manipal Education & Medical Group Family Office). Several prominent investors also participated, including established business figures like Abhay Jain, Abhiroop Jayanthi (Managing Director at Bain Capital), Rajendra Rao, and Prashant Deshpande.

This funding marks a significant milestone for Brij Hotels, fueling their plans for strategic expansion and solidifying their position in the highly competitive hospitality landscape.

Growth and Expansion on the Horizon

The newly acquired capital will be used to propel strategic growth initiatives and bolster Brij Hotels’ presence within the industry. Founded in 1991 by Udit Kumar and Anant Kumar, Brij Hotels is known for its curated collection of properties that provide guests with unique and hyper-local experiences, all while prioritizing environmental responsibility.

Currently boasting a portfolio of eight operational hotels situated in coveted tourist destinations, Brij Hotels is poised to enhance its offerings and broaden its geographical footprint.

Brij Hotels demonstrates a strong commitment to minimizing their environmental impact through a “zero-kilometer concept.” This approach not only benefits local communities by sourcing ingredients and training a significant portion (75%) of their staff locally, but it also celebrates the unique art and culture of each region, offering guests a truly immersive experience.
