Fluid Analytics, a company focused on clean technology solutions, has secured $1.6 million in its pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Pravega Ventures, an early-stage investor, with an additional angel investor participating. The funds will be used to fuel the company’s global expansion plans, with an initial focus on North America.

Founded by Nidhi Jain and Asim R. Bhalerao, Fluid Analytics specializes in large-scale monitoring of water infrastructure health, waterway conditions, and the spread of waterborne diseases.

The company highlighted its achievements in a press release, stating, “We’ve successfully implemented solutions that have monitored over 400 million gallons of urban wastewater spills and enabled the daily treatment and reuse of over 200 million gallons.” Fluid Analytics also plays a role in public health by continuously monitoring a population of over 17.5 million for signs of waterborne illness, which can indicate sewage spills.

Their core business model involves collaborating with utilities, contractors, and engineering firms to offer sustainable solutions for cities struggling with water pollution.

Pravega Ventures, the lead investor, is a venture capital firm specializing in seed and pre-Series A funding. Their portfolio includes a variety of companies like Crofarm (now Otipy), Fyle, SalarySe, Cashinvoice, and GrayQuest.
