Telangana-Born IT Expert to Contest UK Parliamentary Election

 Uday Nagaraju, originally from Telangana, has been selected as the Labour Party’s candidate for the North Bedfordshire constituency in the upcoming UK Parliamentary election. Aged 55, Nagaraju is an IT professional and the founder-director of AI Policy Labs.

Nagaraju revealed his intention to run for office on May 14, receiving congratulations from various figures, including KT Rama Rao (KTR), a leader from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Nagaraju expressed his gratitude for the nomination, stating, “Being chosen as Labour’s candidate for Parliament is a tremendous honor. I firmly believe that only a Labour government can bring the necessary changes to North Bedfordshire. I am committed to representing the diligent residents of this community and working to create opportunities locally,” he shared on the platform X.


Background and Professional Focus

Born to Nagaraju Hanumantha Rao and Nirmala Devi in Shanigaram, Koheda Mandal, Karimnagar district of Telangana, Nagaraju grew up in a middle-class family. He has established himself in the IT sector, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, founding and directing AI Policy Labs.
