Priyanka Gandhi electrified the crowd at the Aabhar rally in Raebareli with her enthusiastic cheer, “Yeh hui na baat.” This sentiment is echoed by the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc as they prepare to strategize in parliament.

Congress’s Bold New Approach

The Congress party is adopting a new, fearless approach. A senior leader stated that the party will no longer shy away from challenges, even if they seem daunting. The objective is to demonstrate their readiness to confront adversaries head-on. Buoyed by their recent successes and renewed vigor, Congress aims to collaborate with other like-minded parties, even those outside the INDIA bloc, to bolster their numbers.

Parliamentary Strategy

In parliament, Congress and the INDIA bloc plan to introduce a no-confidence motion against the government on two grounds: lack of mandate for the Prime Minister and allegations of financial impropriety indicated by rising stock rates after exit polls. The Congress intends to keep up the pressure on the government without delay.

Strengthening Presence in States

Congress also plans to fortify its position in various states. Some state leaders, such as the Tamil Nadu Congress chief, have voiced the need for independence from reliance on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). To this end, Congress aims to strengthen its base in states where it currently lacks power and to target areas where the BJP has performed well.

Focus on Varanasi

In Varanasi, Congress plans to intensify its efforts with road shows and campaigns, aiming to highlight the perceived lack of development in this high-profile constituency. A dedicated team will be stationed in Varanasi to challenge the narrative that the Prime Minister symbolizes development and strength. As a senior leader noted, “Varanasi is a start. Picture abhi baaki hai.”

Ambitious Goals

With a target of reaching 100 seats, Congress is determined to take on the formidable BJP. The groundwork for this ambitious endeavor has already begun.
