SS Rajamouli, the visionary director behind the epic Baahubali films, has unveiled plans for a new animated series set within the same captivating universe. Titled “Baahubali: Crown of Blood,” the series promises to delve deeper into the realm of Mahishmati, the fictional kingdom that captivated audiences worldwide.

A Prequel to the Epic

Unlike the live-action films that followed the rise of Shivudu and the shocking revelation about Kattappa’s actions, “Baahubali: Crown of Blood” will serve as a prequel. This means viewers can expect to explore untold stories and adventures set before the events that unfolded on the silver screen.

A Glimpse into the Future

A teaser released by Rajamouli himself hints at the imminent arrival of a full trailer for “Baahubali: Crown of Blood.” Details surrounding his specific involvement with the series remain shrouded in mystery, but the anticipation surrounding the project is palpable.

The Legacy of Baahubali

The original “Baahubali” saga, consisting of “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015) and “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (2017), shattered box office records and catapulted Telugu cinema onto the global stage. The films, which captivated audiences with their grand visuals, action-packed sequences, and a gripping narrative, starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar.

A Universe in Motion

The Baahubali franchise has proven to be a juggernaut, extending beyond the live-action films. In 2017, an animated series titled “Baahubali: The Lost Legends” debuted on Prime Video, further enriching the mythology of this captivating world. Now, with “Baahubali: Crown of Blood” on the horizon, fans can prepare to be transported back to Mahishmati for a whole new adventure.
